Soup for the Soul
Sunday, January 15th, Following Service

People have connected with the Soup for the Soul books profoundly. The idea has been to share happiness and inspiration. Soup for the soul is one of the world’s best-known phrases and is regularly referenced in pop culture. Today, 23 years after it first began, the socially conscious book company has evolved beyond the books with super premium pet food, television shows, podcasts, positive journalism and licensed products, all revolving around true stories, as it continues changing the world one story at a time®. So we will share our own version of happiness and inspiration by offering the comfort of soups – chicken and vegetable, with bread, a fruit plate and dessert. If you have a true, inspirational story or want to share some happiness, join us for Soup for the Soul. Suggested donation: $12.

Chinese New Year's Celebration
Sunday, January 29th, Following Service

The Chinese New Year is January 28, 2017. This year's animal sign is the rooster. Roosters are said to be the most motivated animal in the Chinese zodiac, being the sign of dawn, awakening, triumph and success.

We are celebrating Chinese New Year as a respect for the most important of the holidays for the Chinese. It is defined to be the first day of the first month in the traditional Chinese calendar. Unlike the Christian New Year, which is based on a solar calendar, the Chinese New Year is based on a traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar whose date indicates both the moon phase and the time of the solar year.

Join us for the celebration. Menu TBD. Suggested donation: $12.
